Understanding Dashboard for School Admins
How to Navigate the Dashboard for School Admins
Overview:
In this article, you will learn how to use the Dashboard page in Kadal for Schools to get a comprehensive view of your school’s AI usage and activity. The Dashboard provides essential data on your agents and users, including charts on token usage and the types of AI models in use. You'll also gain insights into the Agent Report and User Report, which help School Admins manage and optimize resources effectively.
Access the Dashboard:
After logging in as a School Admin, navigate to the Dashboard page to get an overview of your school’s overall AI activity and resource usage. This is the main page for administrators to track various metrics related to agents, users, and token usage.
Analyzing Data Visualizations:
The Dashboard includes two pie charts for easy tracking of your resource usage:
-
The Total Agents Chart: This pie chart represents the distribution of AI models used by the agents in your school. Each segment of the pie corresponds to a different AI model such as GPT, Gemini, or Anthropic, allowing you to see at a glance which models are most commonly used across your school. This chart helps you identify trends and ensure that you are using the appropriate models for your agents.
-
The Total Tokens Used Chart: This chart shows the breakdown of token consumption by model. This helps you manage the resources within your school by giving you insight into how much token usage each model is consuming. The color-coded segments in the chart correspond to the models displayed in the Total Agents Chart, making it easy to correlate the usage patterns.
Below the charts, you’ll find a Legend that clearly identifies the different models used in your school’s agents. The colors in the legend match the colors in the charts, helping you easily interpret the data. For example, if the blue section represents GPT, the Legend will indicate that blue is GPT, allowing you to quickly match the chart's segments to the AI models in use.
Agent Report:
The Agent Report provides a detailed list of all the agents created within the school. This report includes key information such as:
- Agent Name: The name of the agent for easy identification.
- Status: Indicates whether the agent is active or inactive.
- Model: Displays the AI model assigned to each agent (e.g., GPT, Gemini, or Anthropic).
- Creator’s Name: Shows the name of the user who created the agent.
- Created Date & Time: Lists when the agent was created, helping you track new or outdated agents.
- Tokens Used: Displays the number of tokens used by each agent, which helps you track resource consumption.
Filter and Search in the Agent Report:
In the Agent Report, School Admins can use the search and filter functionality to find specific agents. You can filter by:
- Agent Name: To find a specific agent by name.
- Model: To view agents created using a particular AI model.
- Created By: To view agents created by a specific user.
Using these filters allows you to efficiently manage and track agents across the school.
User Report:
The User Report gives a detailed overview of each user’s activity within the school. This includes:
- Username: The unique identifier for the user.
- Status: Whether the user is active or inactive.
- Agent Name: The name of the agent assigned to the user.
- Agent Status: Displays whether the agent assigned to the user is active or inactive.
- Model: Shows the AI model the user is interacting with (e.g., GPT, Gemini).
- Created Date & Time: Indicates when the user was created or when they were assigned the current agent.
- Tokens Used: Tracks how many tokens the user has consumed during their interactions with the AI.
Filter and Search in the User Report:
Similar to the Agent Report, the User Report allows you to filter and search based on the following criteria:
- Agent Name: To find users interacting with a specific agent.
- Model: To view users engaging with a particular AI model.
This helps School Admins track user activity and optimize token usage by understanding who is consuming the most resources.
